Zur Lausitz habe ich eine eigentümliche Beziehung. Manchmal frage ich mich, was ich hier suche, was mich herzieht oder hält. Unvermittelt steigt Durchlebtes in mir auf, ich spüre die Brüche und Nahtstellen – und ich begreife: die Lausitz ist ein Resonanzraum. Ich lasse mich darauf ein und fotografiere diese Region im Dazwischen von Vergangenheit, Gegenwart und »neuer Zeit«.

My relationship with Lusatia is a peculiar one. At times, I find myself wondering what I’m looking for here, what draws me to this place or why I stay. Suddenly, past experiences surface, and I sense the fractures and seams. I understand: Lusatia is a space of resonance. I follow its pull and photograph this region situated between past, present and »new time«.
